The Sun Watch / La guardia del Sol
Yule, the Sun Watch, the longest night, the faithful light on Earth awaiting its return. Watch for the Sun, watch for the Moon: in 9 of 10 of 2009 it is meant to be harmed. Will it be so, or will the common, good folk of Earth rise up and stop the weapon?
En Yule vigilamos fielmente con una vela en tierra el regreso del Sol. Más adentro que la vela, el corazón aguarda encendido el amanecer de la noche más larga. Vigilia del sol, y de la Luna: para el 9 del 10 de 2009 está amenazada. ¿Será así o los terrestres comunes y corrientes se pondrán de pie y detendrán el arma?

nowhere is the lack of a proper religion so evident as in the utter, hopeless darkness of ignorance in which the vast majority of the southern hemisphere inhabitants endure their winter solstice. the misappropriation of the pagan festival of the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere, fixed then to a particular date (25) in the month of december, only amplified the magnitude of its catastrophe when blindly applied to the other hemisphere, when seasons (and other things) are reversed.
sharing rich food is in the spirit of this Feast; however here such food is prepared and consumed in the summer solstice, and every other wrong symbol used all the same. fake snow, fake chimneys, logs, candles, decorated trees, you name it. in the meantime, the winter feast is bypassed in oblivion, leaving many poor creatures unattended.
en parte alguna es la necesidad de religión buena más patente que en la inicua, desesperada oscuridad con que la enorme mayoría de quienes habitan el hemisferio sur pasan el solsticio de invierno. la apropiación indebida hecha del festival pagano de este solsticio en el hemisferio norte, que luego fijaron en cierta fecha (el 25) del mes de diciembre, no hizo sino amplificar la magnitud de su catástrofe al ser aplicada ciegamente al otro hemisferio, en el cual entre otras cosas las estaciones son a la inversa.
por ejemplo, en el espíritu de esta celebración o Festival se encuentra el acto de compartir comida rica, pero aquí esta se prepara y consume al calor del solsticio de verano, junto con muchos otros símbolos errados que entonces se usan: nieve falsa, chimeneas, coníferas decoradas, etc. mientras que el Festival de invierno pasa sin pena ni gloria, dejando a muchas criaturas pobres sin comer bien.
